It is a bold and ambitious design by the Agency that has renovated the Ellipse office building on the Paris circular boulevard alongside Paris La Défense district.
The Ellipse building has been given a spectacular boost: 5,200 square meters of offices on 9 floors behind a 1,800 square meters glass façade. The glass is ‘celadon’, a delicate pale green colour that allows maximum light penetration without dazzle effect.
The flexible, modular capacity of the building has been considerably enlarged: on every floor it is possible to retain partitioned office facilities or create extensive open areas.
The entrance hall, facing the circular boulevard, has been designed in lighter coloured glass to make it virtually completely transparent.
The interior design uses the highest quality traditional ‘noble’ materials: marble, wood and glass in striking aesthetic harmony.
The project also includes private parking, which is an extra asset in an area of considerable planning constraints such as La Défense.
