Combining modernity and tradition

FRANCE - Paris - Avenue Victor Hugo

Completely restructuring a former Haussmann residential building located on avenue Victor Hugo in Paris in order to modernize the existing offices, is not a simple task, especially when the building is occupied. This is the challenge that AIM Hanemian Architects successfully met.

Thanks to carefully planned phasing with the client, all the work was carried out within normal deadlines. Electricity, IT, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and even structural work, everything was refurbished, before undertaking the decoration of the premises. A new rational distribution of the offices was adopted by relocating the corridor in the axis of the office areas. Mobile partitioning was installed to allow for greater flexibility in the distribution of office space.

An in-depth study was carried out on the choice of colours and materials to be used for interior decoration. The entrance hall, which combines a contemporary spirit and classical echoes by mixing false ceilings with plaster steles and columns in marble patina is the happy result. Each floor has its own atmosphere and makes visitors anticipate the vitality of the professionals awaiting them.
